Churchill Standing Guard

Even though it’s touristy, I still love walking by the Houses of Parliament in London at night. Every night we could, we’d walk by. There’s something so majestic and awe inspiring of seeing the neogothic architecture, the iconic Elizabethan clock tower, aka Big Ben (fun fact, you can climb the clocktower, but reservations are required in advance of exactly 3 weeks). Across the street, you’ll find sculptures of important figures throughout history, including oddly enough, President Lincoln. Not surprisingly however, you will find a statue of Sir Winston Churchill looking at Parliament, still standing guard over the defense of the realm.
